What we have built for, where we fall short, and how to tell us.

What we are aiming for
Housing information should be usable by everyone, and we take that seriously. This site was built to work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.
What that means in practice
- Every page can be operated by keyboard alone, and focus is visible as you move through it.
- A skip link at the top of each page jumps straight to the main content.
- Headings are structured in order so screen readers can navigate the page properly.
- Form fields have real labels, and required fields are marked in text rather than by colour alone.
- Images that carry meaning have alternative text; decorative ones are hidden from assistive technology.
- Text and background colours are chosen for contrast, and the site does not rely on colour alone to convey information.
- The layout reflows for small screens and for zoom, and animation is reduced for anyone whose system asks for that.
Where we fall short
Property search runs on a separate site operated by JD Walters Real Estate, and some documents linked from here, such as forms published by state agencies, were produced by third parties. We do not control the accessibility of those, though we will help you get the information another way.
